Research Interest

Dr. Passarelli’s research focuses on the carcinogenic mechanisms involving steroids and other lipids. His work includes molecular and nutritional epidemiologic studies of colorectal, breast, prostate, and urinary bladder cancers. Specific interests include biomarker studies of cholesterol metabolites (oxysterols) and advanced statistical modeling of lipid measurements as complex biological mixtures.
