Research Interest
The Pratt Lab is focused on building theranostic (therapy and diagnostic) tools for the noninvasive quantification and reduction of various rare cancers including pancreatic and ovarian. The Pratt lab uses clinically available small molecule therapies in combination with antibody based molecular imaging to identify drug resistance, and where possible synergistically enhance radiopharmaceutical therapy.
Prior work from Dr. Pratt includes developing advanced Cerenkov Luminescence Imaging in the clinic, nanoparticle based ferrotherapy, as well as newer multiplexed PET imaging methods. Together, members of the Pratt Lab and the Stony Brook Cancer Center will bring smarter combination tools for the detection of cancer and help translate these into clinical practice. The Pratt Lab is also interested in understanding through imaging, the biology of uPAR beyond cancer and ways to leverage the theranostic principle of treating what we see to uPAR relevant diseases beyond cancer.
