 Amy Ferrara, RN, BSN, CPAN | Welcome to Stony Brook Cancer Center. My name is Amy Ferrara. I am a registered nurse specializing in surgical oncology with a certification in perioperative care. I am the nurse navigator for the Melanoma Team. For you, this means I will help assist with all aspects involved in your care, including surgical, medical and radiation services if needed. My role also includes arranging appointments with a social worker and nutritionist when you need them. I can refer you to our staff that assists with financial and insurance matters, as well as local community organizations that offer various types of support. I will provide a variety of educational materials to you and your family members or caregivers. I will follow-up with you to check on your progress or answer questions and address any concerns you might have along your journey with us.
