Stony Brook Cancer Center offers several funding opportunities to its members to advance their research. We have recently implemented an InfoReady site to house information on all opportunities and accept proposals. Please note that the requests for applications below are open only to SBCC members. If you believe your research is relevant to the mission of the Stony Brook Cancer Center, please email SBCC_Admin@stonybrookmedicine.edu to request membership information.

A Pilot Award Program for Team Science (This RFA is closed)
The purpose of the Stony Brook Cancer Center (SBCC) Team Science Award Program is to bring together investigators across different disciplines in order to address long-standing barriers relevant to cancer. Investigations may focus on risk, prevention, early detection, treatment and/or symptoms, and may do so through basic, population, clinical, behavioral, social, engineering, chemistry or physics-based research approaches, or combinations thereof.
Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials (IITs) (This RFA is closed)
The purpose of this RFP is to provide funds for investigator initiated clinical trials (IITs) with a therapeutic intent to be performed at SBCC. IITs build upon the strengths of cancer center programs in basic or translational research and that showcase collaborations across departments and disciplines are most desirable. Early career investigators are encouraged to apply. While all IITs are encouraged, this RFA is specifically designated to support clinical trials with a therapeutic intent. Translational projects with laboratory or imaging correlates will be considered; however, all proposals must include a clinical trial with patient accrual in the design.
