As a clinician-researcher, Dr. Brouxhon has incorporated the principles and practice of clinical and translational research into her bench research, with a goal of discovering novel therapeutic targets for cancer, and developing highly effective treatment regimes against these targets that confer high therapeutic efficacy in multiple preclinical cancer models.
In addition, and together with functional genomics and proteomic approaches, Dr. Brouxhon is in the process of identifying companion diagnostic assays and signature biomarker determinants of resistance, so as to ensure a tailored patient-centered approach to these targeted agents.
