Research Interest
Dr. Chao Chen's research focuses on developing robust and transparent machine learning methods by leveraging modern deep learning and advanced mathematical modeling. He has developed methods modeling complex biomedical structures such as vasculature, breast tissue, cellular architecture within tumor microenvironment. His methods have been applied to various biomedical data including radiology image, digital pathology images, spatial transcriptomics data, radiology/pathology reports, and electronic health records.
