As you may know, Stony Brook Medicine and Stony Brook Cancer Center are proactively addressing the
ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure you that your health and

During this time and out of an abundance of caution, the CancerWise Café event
that was scheduled for March 21, 2020 will be postponed to a future date
(to be determined and announced).

Learn about the latest advances in screening, prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of several types of cancers. These include breast, lung, colorectal, blood, head and neck, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, urologic and skin cancers.

  • Presentations by Stony Brook Cancer Center experts.
  • Educational displays on Cancer Center services.
  • Local community organization tables showcase resources.
  • Free. Includes a light lunch.

9 to 10:30 am Presentations: Our experts in cancer care discuss various topics.
10:30 to 11 am Chance to Mingle: Visit the educational displays 
11 am to Noon Presentations: Our experts in cancer care discuss various topics.
Noon to 1 pm Eat, Learn, Chat
During lunch, you will have the opportunity to chat 
with our doctors and cancer healthcare professionals. Bring a question about a cancer-related topic that concerns 
you most, or just sit back and listen to the conversation.
1 to 2:45 pm Presentations: Our experts in cancer care discuss various topics.
2:45 to 3 pm Raffle Drawing
