Research Interest
Dr. Passarelli’s research focuses on carcinogenic mechanisms involving steroids and other lipids. He conducts molecular and nutritional epidemiologic studies of colorectal, breast, prostate, and urinary bladder cancer. Specific interests include biomarker studies of cholesterol metabolites, known as oxysterols, and the statistical modelling of lipid measurements as complex mixtures.
