At Stony Brook Cancer Center, we understand that a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming, and not only affects your life, but those of your loved ones.
Our experts in the Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplant team provide multidisciplinary care for blood-related cancers, cancers of the lymphatic system, and bone marrow disorders. Care begins with diagnostic testing and evaluation and proceeds to advanced, coordinated treatments.
There are numerous research studies and projects dedicated to cancer being performed within Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine. The majority of clinical trials are developed from research projects. The Cancer Center has more than 100 active cancer clinical trials. Patients are encouraged to speak to their doctor and healthcare team to learn if there is an appropriate clinical trial for them.
