Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to the 12th Conference on Metal Toxicity and Carcinogenesis, on behalf of the organizing and scientific committee, Stony Brook Cancer Center, and Stony Brook University.
We are pleased to host the 2025 Conference in the beautiful and historic Village of Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY, during the spectacular fall season display of colors. Port Jefferson was first settled by colonists in the 17th century and remained a rural community until its development as an active shipbuilding center in the mid-19th century. The village has since transitioned into a tourist-based destination. It is our sincere hope that you will find the conference not only scientifically inspiring but also personally entertaining.
This interdisciplinary international conference aims to bring together a community of scientists interested in metal toxicity and carcinogenicity.
Our purpose of this conference is to bring together a community of scientists in metal toxicity and carcinogenicity.
Our focus is on mechanisms of metal-induced toxicity, strategies for intervention and prevention, and possible translation from basic studies into clinical or public policy.
Our objective is to coordinate, exchange, and disseminate information and to explore
metal-induced toxicity and carcinogenicity.
One of the most exciting aspects of organizing this conference series is that we can provide a place and time to showcase the works of - and provide networking for - investigators at all stages of the career span. There is much we can learn from each other. It is this type of diversity that makes our meeting the premier conference in the field of metal toxicity and carcinogenesis.
To inspire imagination and provide respite from PowerPoints, conference rooms, and posters, we have arranged a very special gala dinner for this year's awards ceremony and your evenings will be free to visit and explore the Village of Port Jefferson, all within walking distance of the hotel.
Looking forward to seeing you in October.
Sincerely,
CMTC 2025 Co-Chairs:
Ke Jian "Jim" Liu (Stony Brook University)
Max Costa (New York University)
